ANTELOPE HUNTS

Like the elk and buffalo, Arizona's antelope dominate the top places in the record books. I know of TWO bucks in the state that will score better than 100 inches. There has NEVER been a Pronghorn Antelope in recorded history to brake the 100 inch mark.

Antelope are VERY light boned animals, which aids in their renowned speed, but this also makes them VERY delicate. So if you don’t exactly hit him where you were aiming, you can be pretty sure that you’ll recover your buck.

I guide for antelope in units 1, 2A, 5-13, and 18-21. Typically the archery hunts start in late August, and the rifle hunts start the second week of September. The muzzleloader hunts are the same time as the rifle hunts, but in units that don’t have a rifle hunt. Hopefully you are deadly out to 300 yards with a rifle. I recommend that you be shooting a .243-.30 caliber magnums. For muzzleloaders, lets see if you can stretch your kill-range out to 200 yards. Bow hunters should have a set up of 70 pounds or more, shafts of 200-300 grains, and broad heads of 75-100 grains. Optimally, you should be shooting better than 275 feet per second.

We will be using spot and stalk crawl, decoying, and ground blind hunting techniques. I supply the knee-pads.

These hunts are for 7 days and $3,500 a person.
